{"id":1617,"date":"2026-08-20T13:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.blenheimschools.com\/en\/?p=1617"},"modified":"2026-08-27T09:23:01","modified_gmt":"2026-08-27T08:23:01","slug":"hydesville-tower-school-celebrates-outstanding-gcse-results-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.blenheimschools.com\/en\/news-and-events\/latest-news\/2026\/hydesville-tower-school-celebrates-outstanding-gcse-results-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Hydesville Tower School Celebrates Outstanding GCSE Results 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hydesville Tower School is celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results for 2026, with pupils achieving excellent grades across a wide range of subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year&#8217;s results reflect the hard work, ambition and resilience of the year group, supported by dedicated teachers, families and the wider school community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An impressive 37% of all grades were awarded at grades 9\u20137, while 95% of grades were achieved at grades 9\u20134. In addition, 100% of pupils achieved five or more GCSEs at grade 4 or above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The school also achieved 100% pass rates in English Literature, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, French, History, Religious Studies and Art, highlighting the breadth of academic success across the year group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strong GCSE Results Across a Broad Range of Subjects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of the strongest performances came in Religious Studies, where 100% of grades were awarded at 9\u20137. History followed with 83%, while Chemistry and Biology both achieved 67% at grades 9\u20137.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pupils also achieved excellent results in creative, language and humanities subjects. 50% of French and Music grades were awarded at 9\u20137, alongside 48% in Geography and 40% in Art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These results demonstrate the breadth of opportunity available to pupils at Hydesville Tower School and celebrate achievement across academic, creative and humanities subjects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Different Journeys, Outstanding Achievements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Behind the statistics are individual stories of pupils who have taken very different educational journeys to reach this point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Karina began her education at Hydesville&#8217;s Prep School before gaining a place at a state grammar school through the school&#8217;s 11 Plus Excellence Programme. After two years, she returned to Hydesville, having decided that a different educational environment would better suit her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her decision was rewarded with an exceptional set of GCSE results: five grade 9s, four grade 8s and two grade 7s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her experience demonstrates the importance of finding the right school environment, where pupils feel supported, understood and confident in their ability to succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abdur took a different route. He joined Hydesville in Year 8 after attending a large state school. Moving into the school&#8217;s smaller, more personalised learning environment, he flourished academically and achieved two grade 9s, six grade 8s and two grade 6s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together, their experiences highlight an important part of the Hydesville approach: there is no single route to GCSE success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether a pupil joins from a grammar school, a large secondary school or has been part of the Hydesville community from an early age, the right support and learning environment can help them reach their potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Celebrating Exceptional Individual Progress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Haris also achieved an impressive set of GCSE results, securing two grade 9s, three grade 8s, three grade 7s and two grade 6s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His achievement is particularly notable for the progress he made during his GCSE studies. His final grades averaged approximately three and a half grades higher than his baseline expectations, reflecting his determination, commitment and consistent effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Achievements such as this demonstrate that GCSE success is not simply about final grades. It is also about the progress pupils make, the challenges they overcome and the confidence they develop along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More Than GCSE Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While strong academic outcomes are an important part of a Hydesville education, pupils are also encouraged to develop the confidence, resilience and wider skills they need for life beyond school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The school&#8217;s approach combines academic ambition with individual attention and a supportive community, helping pupils prepare for their next steps while recognising that every young person&#8217;s educational journey is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As pupils collected their GCSE results at Hydesville Tower School, there was plenty to celebrate. Friends, teachers and families came together to recognise years of hard work before pupils began looking ahead to the next stage of their education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mrs Raj Samra, Headteacher at Hydesville Tower School, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We are incredibly proud of this year&#8217;s pupils and the GCSE results they have achieved. These results reflect their hard work, determination and resilience, as well as the commitment of our teachers, families and wider school community.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Achieving 37% of grades at 9\u20137 and 95% at grades 9\u20134 is a fantastic accomplishment, alongside the 100% pass rates achieved in a number of subjects. We are particularly pleased to see such strong performance across a broad range of disciplines.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I would like to congratulate every pupil on their achievements and thank our dedicated staff and families for the support they have provided throughout their GCSE journey.
