With students achieving strong grades across a broad range of subjects and making significant progress throughout their studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year’s results reflect the hard work, determination and commitment shown by students, alongside the dedication of their teachers and the support of their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A particularly encouraging result is that 50% of all grades achieved were above students’ target grades, highlighting the progress made by pupils throughout their GCSE journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Across all subjects, 44% of grades were awarded at grades 9\u20137, while 82% were achieved at grades 9\u20135.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students achieved particularly strong results in the core subjects of English and Maths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In English, 33% of students achieved grades 9\u20137, with 88% achieving grades 9\u20134.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Maths, 43% of students achieved grades 9\u20137, while 95% achieved grades 9\u20134.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These results provide a strong foundation for students as they move on to their next stage of education, whether continuing into sixth form, pursuing vocational pathways or exploring other opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Behind the overall results are individual stories of achievement, progress and personal success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Particular congratulations go to Chloe, Sophia, Eve, Jake, Amelia, Charlie and Evie, who achieved an incredible 38 grade 9s between them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chloe achieved eight grade 9s in Art, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Geography, Maths, Physics and Spanish, alongside grade 8s in English Language and English Literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eve achieved six grade 9s in Art, Biology, Chemistry, French, History and Physics, as well as grade 8s in English Language, English Literature and Maths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sophia also achieved six grade 9s, in Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Maths, Music and Physics, alongside grade 8s in Art, English Language and English Literature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Congratulations also go to Laiba, James, Holly, Louie, Millie and Sulaimaan, whose results placed them substantially above their expected grades overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their achievements are a powerful reminder that GCSE success is not defined by a single measure. Progress, perseverance and the ability to overcome challenges are equally important parts of a successful educational journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At Huddersfield Grammar School, academic achievement is combined with a focus on helping students develop confidence, independence and self-belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results achieved this year reflect the progress students have made as individuals. For some, success has meant achieving the highest grades across multiple subjects. For others, it has meant exceeding expectations, overcoming challenges or making significant progress from their starting points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This individual approach is an important part of the educational experience at Huddersfield Grammar, where students are encouraged to recognise their strengths, challenge themselves and take pride in their own achievements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The results were welcomed by Olivia Wareham, Headteacher at Huddersfield Grammar School, who led the school throughout the academic year as Acting Headteacher before taking on the role of permanent Headteacher. Having joined Huddersfield Grammar in 2012 and previously served as Deputy Head, she has seen many of this year’s students progress through the school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Olivia Wareham, Headteacher at Huddersfield Grammar School, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\n“We are immensely proud of our students and everything they have achieved this year. These results reflect their hard work, determination and commitment, supported by the dedication and expertise of our teaching staff and the encouragement of their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It is particularly pleasing to see that 50% of all grades were achieved above students’ target grades. This is a wonderful reflection of the progress they have made and the ambition they have shown throughout their GCSE studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Today is about celebrating every student and recognising that success looks different for everyone. We are incredibly proud of those who have achieved outstanding grades, but equally proud of those who have shown resilience, overcome challenges and made significant progress on their individual journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
